The quick pitch
Wizard is rewriting the category: drug-free allergy care, reframed as prestige skincare. Our brand sits where elevated wellness meets cultural moment-making — think Rhode's brand discipline meets Poppi's color energy meets K18's science swagger.
We're looking for a Creative Director to own every pixel, print, pack, and post. Reporting to the CEO, this person will build the full Wizard world and make it feel like the most interesting brand in wellness.
What you'll own:
- brand world. Visual identity, packaging system, art direction across every touchpoint. Wizard should feel instantly recognizable on a Walmart shelf, a TikTok grid, and a Vogue mailer — and distinct in each.
- photography and content direction. Lead lifestyle, editorial, product, and campaign shoots. Hire photographers, stylists, set designers. Build asset libraries that scale.
- retail creative. Endcaps, shippers, FSIs, brand blocks, POS across Walmart, CVS, and what's next. Translate the brand for shelf without dumbing it down.
- digital and social. Design system for DTC, Amazon PDPs, TikTok Shop, paid, email, organic. Partner tightly with our Senior Brand Manager on day-to-day.
- cultural moments. Mailers, collabs, activations, stunts. Think OUAI's cheekiness, Vacation's nostalgia, Glossier's IRL energy.
- team and partners. Manage an in-house designer and a roster of freelance talent (motion, CGI, illustration, copy). Sit on agency selection.
Who you are:
- 8+ years in brand creative, with 2+ at CD or senior AD level. In-house at a breakthrough CPG, beauty, or wellness brand is the sweet spot. Agency counts if your portfolio shows ownership of long brand arcs, not one-off campaigns.
- Portfolio that makes us want to DM you before we finish scrolling. We want to see some combination of: sharp packaging systems, playful campaign ideation, editorial-grade product photography direction, cultural moment-making (collabs, stunts, OOH, events), design system flexibility (Rhode-style alternate marks and flex treatments).
- Strong taste, strong opinions, comfortable pitching ideas your first week.
- Hands-on designer still. You can open Figma or Photoshop and show us, not just direct it.
- Retail-fluent. You've designed for the shelf and know how buyer presentations, brand blocks, and planogram realities actually work.
- Great eye for talent — you already know the photographers, stylists, CGI artists, and motion designers we should be working with. Or you'll find them.
What we offer:
- Location: Remote, US-based. Preference for LA / NY / SF metro for shoot access. Regular travel.
- Comp: 150-170K Base Salary + equity
- Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance, 401(k), and unlimited PTO
