The Role 🫧
As an Art Director, your work will directly embody Zorba’s creative standards and expertise. You will contribute not only to the quality of our output, but also to the growth and evolution of the agency.
You’ll work at the intersection of science, storytelling, and emerging creative technologies.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will play a key role in shaping and leading the creative development of projects across the agency.
Responsibilities
- Develop thoughtful, strategically grounded creative concepts rooted in science.
- Work closely with the Creative Director, either independently or in collaboration with a Life Science Strategist and Copy/Conceptual Writer.
- Translate and craft ideas into compelling deliverables: visual concepts, moodboards, storyboards, layouts, design systems, and more.
- Build, articulate and confidently present creative ideas to internal teams and clients.
- Identify, recommend, and collaborate with internal or external creative partners when needed (producers, designers, 3D artists, storyboarders, directors, etc.)
- Maintain an active awareness of emerging creative, technological, and cultural trends.
What We’re Looking For 🔬
- 4–6 years in design or creative roles, with a portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking across campaigns, design, social, or related work.
- Experience in (but not limited to) beauty, cosmetics or healthcare is a plus.
- A versatile creative who is curious, adaptable, and open to working across different formats and types of projects with.
- A multidisciplinary mindset – you may come from a background in design, branding, illustration, motion, or 3D, but you’re comfortable exploring beyond your core expertise.
- A strong visual sensibility, with the ability to bring ideas to life with clarity and craft.
- Someone who enjoys learning new tools, experimenting, and evolving their practice (including emerging technologies like AI).
- Ability to balance conceptual thinking with hands-on execution.
- A collaborative mindset, with openness to feedback and constructive dialogue.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 CA
