The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing and building screen mockups and layouts, creating attractive grids, charts, and other UI components for an Enterprise SaaS Web Application. This application includes complex calculations that need to be visualized in both a functional and appealing way for optimal user consumption and understanding.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with working with product development and engineering teams in an Agile environment using tools such as ADO (Azure DevOps) to deliver quality, iterative solutions using design software and wireframe tools.

Work Location

• Hybrid – Work in the office Tuesday through Thursday and work from home Monday and Friday. The office is the ABS Corporate Headquarters in Spring, TX located in the Springwood Business Park near Hwy 99 and I-45.
• Remote – Work remote from home but be willing to commute to the office as needed (no more than 10-20% travel expected).

What You Will Do

• Collect and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic interface elements like menus, charts, graphs, tabs and other widgets
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how the site will look and work
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems such as responsiveness
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

What You Will Need

Education and Experience:

• Typically requires a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in UI/UX Design or similar role
• Requires a bachelor’s degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of wireframe tools such as Figma and FigJam
• Familiar working with UI component libraries, such as Fluent and front-end development teams
• Strong communication skills and presentation skills
• Team player, and able to work independently or with a team
• Good time management and self-starter
• Must be familiar with ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System

Reports directly to the Senior Product Owner

Working Conditions

The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing on a keyboard. In addition, the team member may occasionally lift items that weigh up to 20 pounds. Sometimes, the team member may be asked to travel by way of common transportation to recruiting or other work-related events.
