About The Team And The Role

The OneExperience team within eBay’s Core Product Design organization is a cross-functional design team specializing in strategy, design systems, visual design, experience design, content creation, and motion design. The team focuses on evolving eBay’s product and brand experience to achieve higher levels of consistency and innovation.

We are seeking a Motion Designer to join the Design Systems team. You will collaborate with design leadership, product management, brand, and engineering teams to bring product concepts to life. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating abstract ideas into strong design deliverables within a collaborative environment.

This role reports to the Head of Design Systems in the Core Product Organization.

What You Will Accomplish

• Craft compelling motion design aligned with eBay’s motion framework and brand voice.
• Apply strong editing and storytelling skills for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners across the organization.
• Ensure delivery meets developer expectations and conduct QA to maintain implementation quality.

What You Will Bring

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Motion Designer or User Experience Designer.
• Strong expertise in both motion and visual design.
• Robust portfolio showcasing direct contributions across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Rive, Play, or Proto.io.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: C$110,400 – C$147,400

Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include target bonus, restricted stock units (if applicable), and comprehensive medical and financial benefits including RRSP eligibility and paid time off.
