Overview

Digital identity has never been more important to the world. In this role, you’ll embrace customer feedback and deliver intuitive designs that empower everyday people to access the products and services they need the most. Your work will impact more than a billion people worldwide. You’ll partner with designers from across the company to create seamless authentication and sign-up experiences using next-generation technology like biometrics and passkeys.
Microsoft’s identity platform spans our products, from Azure to Xbox. In this role you’ll collaborate daily with designers, researchers, writers and engineers to identify problems and deliver beautiful design artifacts, prototypes and mockups.
You’ll collaborate daily with both a design and product team in Dublin and your peers in Microsoft offices around the world
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND several years experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).
- Online portfolio showcasing a breadth of work in e-commerce, retail, gaming or other consumer-facing experiences
- Ability to prototype design concepts in a variety of tools , at appropriate fidelity for the task.
- Ability to produce elegant and easily understood diagrams, wireframes, and other artifacts
- Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Work with multidisciplinary and cross product teams to deliver beautiful end-to-end user experiences across multiple screens
- Work with design teams to develop strategies for quickly prototyping key design features and build robust prototypes to test with users.
- Use prototyping as a method of hypothesizing, experimenting and driving designs forward, not merely to assess finalized designs.
- Design to high quality standards, follow processes, and deliver on schedule
- Help develop and refine UI pattern libraries and design guidelines
- Stay current on design trends, technologies, and tools, and incorporate them into the design team’s work as appropriate.
