At Cubbi, we are defining how businesses and tenants engage with food experiences through intuitive digital products. We move fast, learn fast, and ship fast. Design is central to our success from onboarding and activation to habit forming user journeys that create real business impact.
We are hiring a Product Designer who loves owning problems end to end, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering elegant, scalable solutions in a startup environment.
You will play a critical role in shaping the core product experience across web and mobile surfaces. You will apply design thinking to solve user and business problems, especially in onboarding, conversion, activation, and repeat usage flows.
This is not a pure UI role. You will conduct research, define problems, ideate solutions, prototype, validate, and iterate. You will partner closely with product and engineering to deliver measurable improvements in usability and engagement.
Responsibilities
User Research & Insight
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral analysis
- Translate research into clear opportunity areas, journey maps, and problem statements
- Validate design decisions with real user feedback and product data
End to End Product Design
- Lead the full design process from problem definition to high fidelity execution
- Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and polished UI
- Design intuitive interactions that simplify complex workflows
- Ensure accessibility, clarity, and usability across surfaces
AI Powered Design Workflow
- Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, idea generation, and rapid prototyping
- Leverage AI for copy exploration, micro interaction ideas, and alternative design directions
- Use AI assisted analysis to spot usability friction and behavioral patterns
- Continuously experiment with new AI design tools to improve speed and quality
- Contribute to thoughtful implementation of AI features inside the product experience
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to align on goals and constraints
- Translate business objectives into thoughtful user experiences
- Present and defend design decisions using user insight and data
- Contribute to and evolve the design system
Rapid Iteration & Ownership
- Ship iterative improvements quickly
- Balance speed and craftsmanship
- Take ownership of outcomes, not just deliverables
- Operate comfortably in ambiguity and competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications
- Product design experience shipping digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end to end ownership across research, ideation, prototyping, validation, and iteration
- Fluency in Figma and collaborative tools such as Miro, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Experience designing complex workflows, marketplaces, or B2B2C products
- Comfort working in fast paced startup environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate design rationale
- Familiarity with product analytics tools and using data to inform design decisions
- Experience contributing to a design system
- Practical experience using AI tools in your design workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in early stage or scaling startups
- Experience designing activation, onboarding, or habit forming flows
- Curiosity about how AI can enhance user experience inside digital products

- You have redesigned at least 1 high friction flow with measurable impact
- You have shipped improvements to onboarding or ordering experiences
- AI is meaningfully integrated into your workflow to increase design velocity
