PathAI is on a mission to improve patient outcomes with AI-powered pathology. By transforming traditional pathology methods into advanced technologies, PathAI helps accelerate drug development, improve diagnostic accuracy, and bring life-saving therapies to patients faster.

Design and user experience play a critical role in achieving this mission. PathAI is seeking a Product Designer I to join a small, dynamic design team and help solve meaningful design challenges in the pathology AI space.

Where You Fit
In this role, you will contribute to product experiences across multiple business verticals while developing your design career. You’ll apply strong visual design skills and collaborate with mission-driven teammates working to improve patient outcomes through technology.

You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, and product teams to shape solutions that address complex healthcare challenges while delivering intuitive and impactful user experiences.

What You’ll Do
• Understand user needs and business goals to identify opportunities and potential solutions
• Apply research methods, competitive analysis, and product data to inform design decisions
• Define user experiences and visual design solutions from concept through launch and iteration
• Participate in design critiques and collaborate with designers to improve craft and quality
• Produce detailed interaction specifications and UI documentation
• Work closely with engineers to communicate design intent and ensure high-quality implementation

What You Bring
• 2+ years of product design experience (entry-level role)
• Passion for solving real-world problems that have meaningful impact
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Sociology, Psychology, or similar
• Portfolio demonstrating your design process and work across multiple projects
• Curiosity and willingness to learn quickly in complex domains
• Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset

Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $76,500 – $117,300 USD

Additional compensation details:
• Not overtime eligible
• Eligible for equity awards
• Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications
