Lumin Digital is seeking a Product Designer to join our cross-functional team. In this role, you’ll collaborate across multiple product areas, supporting strategic initiatives alongside senior and lead designers while owning targeted design projects end-to-end.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Contribute across product areas, supporting senior and lead designers on strategic initiatives.
• Take ownership of scoped design projects from exploration through execution.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to translate ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.
• Participate in user research and incorporate insights into design decisions.
• Present designs clearly and respond thoughtfully to feedback.
• Apply and extend the design system to ensure consistency and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Regularly sit and use hands for typing and handling equipment.
• Close vision required for detailed design work.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Specifications

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience
• 2–4 years of product design experience (in-house or agency).
• Experience designing digital product experiences.
• Experience contributing to or evolving a design system (building from scratch is a plus).
• Experience designing UI components, patterns, and templates.
• Experience applying user research insights to design decisions.
• Portfolio required showcasing shipped product work (design system contributions preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong systems thinking and ability to create cohesive experiences.
• Ability to refine components and structural foundations within a design system.
• Excellent visual craft and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Figma (required).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (required).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize research insights into design solutions.
• Comfort working remotely across time zones.
• Illustration skills are a plus.
• Fintech experience is a plus, but not required.
• Curiosity about leveraging AI to enhance workflows and user experiences.

Travel

• Minimal travel (approximately 12 days or fewer per year).
• Two team gatherings per year.
