About the Team
The Product Design team defines and delivers all user-facing aspects of Stripe’s brand and product. Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management, shaping user experiences and translating them into high-quality, testable, and scalable solutions.

The Payments Design team focuses on empowering users to manage global payments, refunds, fraud, disputes, and performance optimization. This team owns some of Stripe’s highest-volume surfaces and directly impacts millions of users.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to envision and ship payments features across the Stripe Dashboard and end-user surfaces
• Improve product quality across high-traffic workflows
• Set product vision aligned with evolving user expectations in a data- and AI-driven world

Responsibilities

• Understand user workflows and pain points; design, test, and iterate high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Strategy to define a north star experience
• Create high-fidelity prototypes for research and communication
• Conduct user research to validate decisions before shipping
• Collaborate across Stripe to deliver seamless dashboard experiences
• Work closely with design systems teams to leverage and evolve shared components

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant design experience at a product-driven tech company
• Strong craft demonstrated through a portfolio
• High-fidelity prototyping expertise
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for building collaborative cross-functional relationships
• Strong ability to simplify complex systems into usable, elegant experiences
• Confident design leader with a clear point of view

Hybrid & Remote Work at Stripe

This role is available in-office or remotely (35+ miles / 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-Office Expectations
Office-based employees spend at least 50% of the time each month in their local office or with users.

Remote Work
Remote employees are expected to primarily work from home but may attend team meetings and on-sites. Stripe does not cover relocation to remote locations.

• Salary range: CA$163,900 – CA$245,900 (varies by level and location)
