Description
Key Areas of Accountability
Identifying Customer Roadblocks and Design Solutions:
• Work as a key member of the ecommerce product team to identify consumer pain-points and potential solutions for improved product experiences.
• Lead the design of potential solutions, collaborating with engineers, researchers, and product managers to ensure designs are meeting objectives, are tested, and are iterated upon to further improve user experience.
UX and UI:
• Provide a roadmap of design initiatives as part of the ecommerce product roadmap, including a summary of UX and UI designs and requirements.
• Manage timelines for development and implementation of new initiatives and deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with product teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure UX and UI designs meet organizational expectations and guidelines.
• Provide knowledge of responsive design, component systems, and interaction design, with a proven ability to work within or build scalable design systems and component libraries.
• Maintain industry standards and best-practices of UX and UI designs across all digital platforms and stakeholder touchpoints.
Establish design guidelines and best practices:
• Establish best-practices and guidelines for design and development across Armstrong Collective’s digital platforms and touchpoints.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to understand and improve brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with brand and content teams to integrate content strategies and requirements into projects and design work.
• Ensure alignment of design requirements and guidelines across all stakeholders.
Prototyping and Animations:
• Create prototypes for rapidly gathering stakeholder and customer feedback, ensuring design work is capable of delivering insights and incrementally improving on consumer experience pain-points.
• Deliver design ideas through visual, interactive tools to ensure clear understanding across teams on the design solutions being delivered.
Ongoing Monitoring and Management of Design Elements on our Digital Platforms:
• Conduct regular reviews of platform designs and user experiences.
• Collaborate with product teams to establish A/B testing programs, understand user behaviour patterns, and to identify opportunities for digital experience improvement.
• Work with digital platform management, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure product updates and deployments do not disrupt design functionality.
Content and Brand Strategy:
• Work with the marketing, brand, and content teams to align Armstrong Collective’s ecommerce experiences with brand and content strategies.
• Integrate brand and content strategies into projects and designs to ensure clear articulation of Armstrong Collective’s brand when creating user experiences.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience (web, apps, or advanced digital experiences).
• 2+ years in a lead-designer role with a globally recognized brand.
• Proficiency with Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and InVision.
• Meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design choices that elevate digital touchpoints that mirror the luxury positioning of our brand experiences.
• Experience with usability testing and research platforms (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, Optimal Workshop, VWO, Hotjar, Woopra).
• Familiarity with Miro, FigJam, or similar for ideation and cross-team workshops.
• Experience with web content and development tools such as Drupal, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, or PHP
• Strong knowledge of responsive design, component systems, and interaction design, with a proven ability to work within or build scalable design systems and component libraries.
• Experienced in designing, implementing, and evaluating A/B test experiments.
• Experience working within a CMS (Content Management System); Drupal in particular is an asset.
• Expert analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.

Work Environment:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Corporate Office – Vancouver based; hybrid role with a minimum 3 days / week in the office.
Compensation
The base salary offered for this role is $76,000 to $95,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity. Eligible for Armstrong Collective’s discretionary bonus program.
