About the opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Senior Designer. At Blu Ivy we work together to research and define employer brands. We are employer branding and culture architects. We partner with our HR, Communications and Marketing clients and build award-winning cultures, inspire extraordinary employee pride and engagement, and highly desired workplaces.

In this role you will create and deliver high-quality, strategic design solutions and brand systems for our clients. You will be capable of presenting and delivering clean, modern on-brand design concepts in a thoughtful way, while keeping on-going business objectives at the core of the design process. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will have the opportunity to help shape our expanding Creative Studio, and work with our clients to connect with talent and amplify their employer brand.


In this role you will:

  • Develop digital and print line-extension of employer brand creative for campaign activations, with the agility to work on multiple client projects.
  • Concept storyboards, supporting graphics, pre-shoot coordination and creative review for video production. Lead on-site art direction for video production and photoshoots.
  • Build creative solutions that focus on human-centered design approach such as; content analysis, user-flows, user journey maps/flows, wireframes, UX testing, agile workflows.
  • Create concepts for internal and external deliverables, working both within established brand guidelines and without. Understand and effectively communicate and implement the concept, the strategy, the measures of success, and our business philosophy across all touch points.
  • Collaborate on internal Creative Studio initiatives, such as; Blu Ivy brand guideline systems, templates, assets, briefs, creative support resources, as well as presentation materials.
  • Design and produce assets such as; careers website UI, digital banners for multiple platforms, paid advertising, social media, print signage, employer brand books, on-site visuals for experiential events, animated graphics, templates, visual style guides, PowerPoint presentations.
  • Collaborate on designs for client presentations and pitches such as; beautiful PowerPoints, infographics, templates, websites/microsites, creative solution brainstorming, revamping & harmonizing client-facing documents (Word, Excel, PPT). The ability to interpret facts, figures and data and turn them into visually appealing and clear communication designs.
  • You will collaborate on project management, client meetings, develop creative briefs, build relationships with external partners, and present design deliverables to clients.


You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Ideally 7+ years of experience in both in-house and agency settings.
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously and lead on their projects.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing creative big-picture strategic solutions.
  • Versed in multi-channel digital best practices in complex asset production. In a digital-first environment understanding media’s best-practices, including UX and accessibility compliance standards, is imperative.
  • Experience in best practices execution of technical print production.
  • Experience in communicating strategic creative vision of concepts in presentations.
  • Outstanding aesthetic sensibilities and solid understanding of storytelling, layout, typography and design principles.
  • A portfolio highlighting a depth and range of creative activation and conceptual strategies.
