The Role
Knak is looking for a Product Designer to join our growing design team. You’ll help shape the future of email marketing, including new growth initiatives in campaign generation using generative AI.
You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering to research, analyze, and turn customer insights into features users love. Your creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will directly impact product growth and customer delight.

Responsibilities
Design & Collaboration
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define and prioritize features
• Break down complex problems into actionable, incremental solutions
• Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and UI specifications
• Ensure accurate implementation with Engineering teams
• Contribute to agile ceremonies (sprint planning, user testing, etc.)
• Apply strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards
Research & UX Vision
• Facilitate continuous discovery (user interviews, journey mapping, opportunity exploration)
• Conduct usability testing, surveys, and research
• Translate insights into actionable design improvements
• Champion user-centered design practices
• Lead workshops, critiques, and story-mapping sessions
Design System Development
• Contribute to Knak’s scalable design system
• Define principles, patterns, components, and guidelines
• Collaborate with Engineering on design system implementation
• Continuously refine the system based on feedback and best practices
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field
• Proven experience designing web-based product experiences
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX expertise
• Proficiency with Figma and AI-based design tools
• Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and user-centered design
• Knowledge of web standards, modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Deep understanding of CSS and frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap
• Experience conducting user research and applying data-driven design decisions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
• SaaS or email marketing experience (nice to have)
