About Motion 💡
Motion is creating the command center for creative strategists: an AI-driven analytics and intelligence platform that bridges the gap between performance marketers and creative teams, helping them uncover what’s working, what’s not, and ultimately ship more winning ads across platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and TikTok.
Today, Motion is trusted by leading e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands and agencies including Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, and HexClad, and has analyzed over $12 billion in media spend. When brands want to understand their creative performance, they turn to us.
Our founders have built successful companies before, and 10% of our team worked with them at their previous company and chose to build again at Motion. That loyalty is built on trust, strong culture, and a shared belief in what we’re creating.
We’re growing quickly (2.5x year-over-year, now 70+ team members), recently raised a $30M Series B, and are building the future of creative intelligence.
About the Senior Product Designer Role 🔍
At Motion, designers work closely with engineers and product managers across the full lifecycle of a project, from research and exploration to shipped product. You’ll own the end-to-end design process and stay close to implementation to ensure what ships meets a high bar for quality.
We’re looking for someone with strong design craft, sharp product thinking, and curiosity about where the discipline is heading. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to think in systems, and eager to experiment with AI tools like Cursor or Claude throughout the design process.
What Makes This Role Unique ✨
You’ll own 1–2 product pods, and because we’re still in an early stage of growth, your work will have meaningful impact as we scale. We invest heavily in AI tooling, giving you freedom to explore and experiment with the latest technologies.
What You’d Be Doing 🛠️
• Plan and execute user research to inform design decisions.
• Own the end-to-end design process from discovery through shipped product.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactively identify areas to refine or redesign across flows and interactions.
• Extend and maintain the component library for consistency and scalability.
• Use AI tools to prototype quickly and push ideas through to production.
Our Ideal Fit Brings ✨
• 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating craft, process, and product thinking.
• Experience planning and running user research.
• Exceptional visual and UI design skills with strong attention to detail.
• Systems thinking and understanding of how features fit into the broader product.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience with design systems.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments with ownership of 0–1 features.
• Curiosity about AI trends and AI-native workflows.
• Preference for candidates comfortable with AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude.
What You’ll Love About Motion 💜
• Competitive compensation including equity, health benefits, PTO, and work-from-home stipend.
• Remote-first with optional hybrid hubs in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Porto.
• Strong product-market fit with 2.5x YoY growth and $30M Series B funding.
• High-impact opportunity as an early team member.
• Award-winning, low-ego, high-performing team culture.
• Regular virtual collaboration via Roam and in-person team meetups and retreats.
Motion closed 2024 with strong momentum and is building forward in a deeply AI-native way for 2026. The direction is clear, the stakes are high, and there’s still a lot to build.
A note on location: Motion is fully remote but prefers candidates in or near Toronto, Montreal, or Porto, Portugal, with strong overlap to Eastern Time working hours.
