The Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep Design Systems expertise to join us on a 6-month contract.
This is a high-impact role where you will:
• Lead end-to-end product design across complex areas
• Architect and evolve Q4’s visual and functional language
• Bridge the gap between design and engineering
• Enable scalable, consistent product experiences in an AI-first development environment
How You’ll Contribute
Design System Leadership
• Own the evolution and governance of the Q4 Design System
• Build scalable UI components, patterns, templates, and documentation
• Drive system adoption across design and engineering teams
• Reduce design and technical debt through consistency and clarity
End-to-End Product Design
• Lead discovery → concept → validation → delivery for complex product areas
• Advocate for user-centered design and progressive UX
• Deliver accessible, high-quality, production-ready UI
Bridge Design & Engineering
• Collaborate within the product triad (Product, Engineering, Design)
• Ensure technical feasibility and correct implementation of system components
• Operate effectively within Agile and continuous discovery environments
Data-Driven Iteration
• Analyze product performance data to inform design decisions
• Demonstrate measurable impact of design initiatives
• Increase team velocity through scalable systems and tooling
Research & Discovery
• Plan and conduct autonomous qualitative and quantitative research
• Validate system components and feature-level decisions
Mentorship & Culture
• Mentor designers and elevate system thinking across the team
• Facilitate workshops and encourage collaborative problem solving

Qualifications
• 5+ years in UX/Product Design with recent focus on Design Systems
• Strong systems-focused portfolio (showing governance, adoption, and strategic thinking)
• Advanced Figma expertise (auto-layout, variables, component properties)
• Proficiency in Miro
• Strong visual craft (typography, layout, color theory)
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders
• Experience in Agile and continuous discovery environments
• High ownership mindset; able to drive accountability across partners
Bonus Experience
• FinTech, SaaS, or Investor Relations experience
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/React
• Accessibility (WCAG) integration into design systems
• Designing AI-powered product interactions
• Experience across consumer, B2B, and enterprise software
