Full-time employee.
Remote with the flexibility to travel to our headquarters in Ohio for onboarding and 2-3 times a year.
Must live in the following states: OH,MI, IN, IL, TN, TX, NV, RI, MT, FL, CO, MA.

Position Summary:

The Sr Product Designer will join our expanding engineering team to focus on improving and refining the design and user experience of our existing products in the web, mobile, and TV space. They will take ownership of the product design and work with various Product Owners and business departments to aid in the UI/UX design process of upcoming features and functionality. The long-term vision for this position is for the Sr Product Designer to build out their team over time to meet the growing needs of the enterprise.

Success in this role includes efficient and timely communication to technical and non-technical team members, proactive coordination, love of design and user experience, a strong desire to learn, curious nature, and a passion for removing inefficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work with various Product Owners to guide the requirements gathering of new features from a UI/UX perspective.
  2. Provide guidance to Product Owners on best practices on design approaches and trends.
  3. Provide guidance to Product Owners on user experience best practices.
  4. Be able to speak to platform-specific best practices.
  5. Generate and refine wireframes.
  6. Generate high-fidelity mocks of final designs.
  7. Provide the various development teams with assets like animation resources, image resources, etc.
  8. Collaborate with other departments.
  9. Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in UI/UX design and technology to continuously improve our  products and services.
  10. Develop and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across our products and enables scalability.
  11. Help shape our design standards to maintain across products.
  12. Eliminate existing design inconsistencies and improve future workflows for business units, designers, and developers.

Skills:

  • A strong knowledge of design principles across web, mobile, and TV platforms
  • A passion for turning complex problems into elegant and engaging solutions.
  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates thought process, design approach, and experience.
  • A mastery of Figma
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous integration.

Preferred Experience

  • 6+ years working in product design.
  • 3+ years leading a team.

Preferred Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or computer science.
