Our dynamic platform enables hospitals to fulfill personnel needs in real time, while allowing high-quality veterinary professionals to secure work at the click of a button. About the Role
At Roo, we’re not just building products; we’re redefining experiences for our diverse customer base, including Hospitals, Vets, Techs, and Students. As a mid-level Product Designer reporting to the Lead Product Designer, you’ll be an integral part of our small but powerful design team, working alongside industry experts to shape the future of design at Roo.
Your Responsibilities

- In this role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Roo by delivering new features and product enhancements across multiple platforms, including the website, responsive web app, and mobile app.
- You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that designs align with key business objectives and deliver a seamless user experience.
- As the design lead on one of our squads, you will be seen as a strategic partner who actively contributes to the overall product strategy and you’ll be responsible for measuring the impact of any new design features that are shipped.
- From wireframes to final designs, you’ll be responsible for maintaining key user journeys, contributing to our design system, and staying ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications

- 8-10 years of experience in product design.
- Proficient in standard design tools, such as Figma.
- Proven track record as a Product Designer with a diverse portfolio.
- Strong understanding of UX and UI design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in product strategy and measuring impact.
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining design systems and producing production-ready designs.
- Ability to balance user-centered design with business requirements.
- Flexibility and agility to thrive in an early-stage startup environment.
- Collaborative spirit, with experience working across US/international cities.
- Positive, can-do attitude and a solution-oriented mindset.
$100,000 – $165,000 a year
Since we’re a remote first company, compensation ranges are based on where you live. Please see below for examples of compensation ranges based on some specific cities.
San Francisco / New York $130,000 – $165,000
Seattle / Boston $115,000 – $150,000
Austin / Atlanta $110,000 – $145,000
Raleigh / Minneapolis $100,000 – $130,000
