This position will be filled to work remotely within the U.S.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

• Collaborate with product management, business analysts, and development to understand and establish user requirements.
• Turn high level product requirements into workflows and designs.
• Create protocols and prototypes for testing and analysis to ensure UX and technical business needs are met.
• Rapidly iterate on design solutions based on feedback and technical needs.
• Ensure products meet high standards of usability and design excellence.
• Confidently communicate the rationale of design decisions.
• Approach design from a humble perspective that places a high level of importance on user empathy.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have: 

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in UX and UI design.
• Experience communicating and collaborating with cross disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Portfolio link or PDF exhibiting a strong understanding of UX/UI design. If a password is required, it must be provided.
• Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JH meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have: 

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and constraints while designing detail-oriented, thoughtful solutions.
• Research based mind-set for problem solving.
• Expertise in designing beautiful, data dense applications.
• Familiarity with best practices and design patterns for web applications.
• Experience with industry standard design tools like Figma and design systems.
