The Role
As a Senior Product Designer on ShareGate Migrate, you will work within a tight product trio (PM, Tech Lead, Designer) to shape experiences used in high-impact, operationally sensitive migration projects.
You will help IT administrators navigate complex Microsoft 365 and cloud migration scenarios with clarity and confidence. The role spans strategy and execution—from defining problem spaces to refining UI details and iterating quickly based on learning. You’ll also explore how AI can enhance planning, insights, and technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end design from problem framing to polished interactions
• Translate complex, technical workflows into intuitive user experiences
• Design flows and interfaces that simplify migration and governance scenarios
• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and subject-matter experts
• Prototype, test, and iterate quickly
• Use customer feedback, data, and insights to guide improvements
• Explore AI-driven enhancements for efficiency and predictability
• Improve design processes with new tools and methodologies
• Contribute to and evolve the ShareGate design system
A Typical Week
• Participate in trio planning and discovery
• Create flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Collaborate with engineering on feasibility and scope
• Present work in critiques and async reviews
• Analyze migration data and support trends
• Refine details and ensure cohesive hand-offs
• Document design rationale clearly
• Use AI tools for research, prototyping, and validation
What We’re Looking For
• 6+ years of B2B SaaS product design experience
• Confidence navigating ambiguous, technical problem spaces
• Strong skills across strategy, UX flows, UI, and interaction design
• Ability to balance speed and quality under constraints
• Experience designing for technical users (IT/admin tools) is a plus
• Experience contributing to AI-powered experiences
• Strong communication and storytelling skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to craft
Salary
$120,000 – $145,000 CAD
(Adjusted by region based on local market conditions)
