Title and Summary
Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design
The Services New Product Development team within Mastercard Foundry drives innovation in B2B and B2B2C digital products, leveraging Mastercard data and modeling capabilities to develop and validate user-centric solutions for complex business challenges.
As a Product Designer, you will collaborate within a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to rapidly iterate on new data product concepts, prototypes, and MVPs. You’ll help de-risk solutions by validating desirability, usability, and feasibility across web, mobile, dashboards, chatbots, voice interfaces, and more.
Role
• Design Proof-of-Concepts and MVP data products using human-centric design, Lean UX, and Design Thinking principles.
• Help define next-generation data-driven products shaping Mastercard’s future growth.
• Conduct user research and support technical experiments to validate new product concepts.
• Design solutions that present complex data in meaningful and digestible ways.
• Participate in Design Thinking workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive experimentation and future-state conceptual design improvements.
• Partner with Brand & Marketing to create delightful transactional experiences.
• Collaborate with technology teams leveraging modern presentation layer practices.
• Explore innovative “art-of-the-possible” design opportunities.
• Balance business objectives with user engagement in partnership with product managers.
• Ensure designs reflect diverse global user needs across regions.
Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Interaction Design
• Experience developing user personas and user journeys.
• Experience in rapid prototyping (Lean UX, Design Thinking).
• Experience creating compelling visual mockups and prototypes.
• Experience designing across multiple media.
• Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Illustrator.
• Understanding of complex information architecture for digital applications.
Nice to Have
• Visual Design expertise.
• UX Research experience.
• Data Visualization experience.
Candidate Profile
• Passionate about data-driven experiences.
• Experience working in high-performing UX teams.

• Strong understanding of usability best practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design for Interactive Media or equivalent experience.

Compensation
Toronto, Canada: $94,000 – $138,000 CAD
Compensation is based on location, experience, and qualifications. Eligible candidates may participate in discretionary annual incentive programs.
