Senior UI/UX Designer (Remote - BC)

This game studio is looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team. If you have a passion for mobile game systems and a desire to work in a truly cross-functional, small studio environment — we would love to hear from you!

This is a fully remote contract position for candidates based in British Columbia, Canada.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with the Lead UI/UX Designer and development team to design and implement game features across mobile platforms. You’ll create wireframes, mockups, gather feedback, and test theories to ensure that the player experience is clear, intuitive, and enjoyable.

Responsibilities
• Provide various creative UX solutions to challenging problems
• Collaborate with game designers and the rest of the UI team to design features
• Create wireframes, screen flows, and documentation to present to the team
• Clearly communicate UI/UX goals and rationale
• Implement UI prefabs in Unity
• Iterate on existing designs based on user and team feedback
• Maintain and update documentation
• Create mockups following existing Style Guides
• Work closely with the dev team to implement features
• Set up and improve workflows as needed
• Ensure features function as intended and adapt across various mobile devices
• Create and export assets, including art and animations
• Research current mobile game and UI/UX trends

Qualifications
• Prior UI/UX experience in the game industry
• Experience launching multiple products and supporting live titles
• 5+ years of Unity experience
• Strong creative mindset and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Animate)
• Familiarity with wireframing tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently or in small cross-functional teams
• Strong wireframing and prototyping skills
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX, graphic design, and 2D art principles
• Must reside in British Columbia and be legally eligible to work in Canada

Nice to Have
• Experience with simple 2D animations
• Familiarity with Figma
• Passion for mobile games and game design
