Senior User Experience Designer
Fidelity’s Healthcare Group is launching a new Medicare business that will provide our customers with tools and advice to help them select and purchase quality Medicare coverage. As an early member of this new and innovative team, you will have the opportunity to help build and grow a business that could impact millions of Americans!
You are a self-starter, motivated by addressing real pain-points and having an impact on the lives of our customers every day. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll collaborate with a highly skilled team of individuals that are helping people navigate complex Medicare decisions. Your human-centered approach to design is essential to helping our customers live confidently in retirement and beyond.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a product designer, experience designer, information architect, or a similar role
- Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Expertise in designing for responsive web and mobile apps. With knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of front-end technologies
- Experience creating design artifacts such as (but not limited to), wireframes, user flows, journey maps, design comps, design documentation, and prototypes
- Practical experience working with researchers to distill qualitative and quantitative feedback, identifying themes and deriving data-driven design decisions
- Experience collaborating with content strategists and an understanding of voice and tone as a key element of the user experience
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools
- Proven expertise with Figma and Adobe Suite, with an ability and openness to learn new tools quickly
- Experience designing interfaces using established design systems
- A background designing and building solutions for the Healthcare industry (or other highly regulated industry) is a plus
- A digital portfolio we can review online is required

- Broad set of design skills (generalist), which include interaction design, visual design, information architecture, journey mapping and prototyping
- An aptitude and enthusiasm for working in teams, and a willingness to help your team complete tasks outside of your core competency, if necessary
- A strong understanding of user-centered design processes, systems thinking, and interaction design principles
- Strong presentation skills; equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale

- Build relationships with our internal business partners and project teams to translate their business requirements into usable and engaging experiences
- Provide the team strategic support by leading sessions to document use cases, user flows, journey maps, and defining the problem to be solved
- Help develop UX guidelines and standards for use across all products to meet the strategic goals of the organization
