Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions, DAS, is looking for a Sr. UX Designer to work in our Jacksonville FL Location.
Who You Are
You are a UX designer able to understand business requirements and technical limitations. You have experience supporting and/or conducting user research, and translating your findings into sitemaps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. As a UX designer you’ll design the functionality of the product, making sure it meets the user’s needs, iterate on it with user-testing and use all your design skills to ensure a great user experience. Having front end development skills is a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create stories that help people understand the user experience
- Plan and conduct user research and interviews
- Organize and structure a products information from user’s perspective
- Define interaction models
- Develop user task flows and communicate scenarios
- Create and maintain wireframes and mockups
- Develop prototypes to help communicate and define design interactions and user flows
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in our Jacksonville FL. office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Strong understanding of Google Material Design standards
- Familiar with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
- Successfully implement designs within an Agile process
- Design for mobile, web and desktop
- Simplify complex interactions and navigation
- Document, visualize and communicate the user experience
- Skilled with UX design tools (Sketch, InVision, Figma, FigJam, etc.)
- Familiar with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3
- Lead the design and user research efforts and communicate solutions to cross functional team
- Strategic design thinker
- Minimum 5 years of successfully developing and leading user experience design
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Background that exhibits the ability to conduct sense making of multifaceted challenges through the use of data
- Experience using Project Management skills
- Experience crafting and developing strategy plans
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with aviation maintenance processes is a plus.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.) Typical but not required.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
