Highspring is looking for a Senior UX Designer to support a major modernization initiative for a mission‑critical financial operations platform. This role focuses on reimagining complex internal applications used monthly by thousands of global users, including senior decision‑makers. You will lead end‑to‑end UX strategy, research, and design execution across high‑risk workflows such as margin management, day‑trading processes, onboarding, and regulatory operations. This is a hands‑on role ideal for a designer who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys deep collaboration with engineering, and can translate intricate requirements into intuitive, scalable experiences.
Responsibilities
• Lead user research across a global audience through workshops, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiry.
• Map end‑to‑end workflows for margin, day‑trading, onboarding, and regulatory processes.
• Define a UX modernization strategy aligned with business objectives, delivery timelines, and platform evolution.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups to transform legacy interfaces.
• Develop scalable design patterns that can be applied across multiple applications.
• Work closely with distributed engineering teams (Java, Angular) to deliver detailed UX specifications.
• Support cloud adoption efforts by designing experiences with performance and scalability in mind.
• Contribute to or establish design system components, tokens, and interaction patterns.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise usability, accessibility, and compliance standards.
• Plan and conduct usability tests to validate concepts and refine solutions based on feedback.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with product and engineering to define priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years in UX or Product Design, ideally within complex enterprise software.
• Experience modernizing high‑usage, workflow‑heavy, or regulated applications.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, interaction design, and visual excellence.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross‑functional teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with a clear, structured design rationale.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
