Overview
The Senior UX Designer will use their skills in humanities, art, science, and technology to tease out, test, and verify products and product enhancements sold by ISACA. The Senior UX Designer is a market driven, outside-in thinker who continually advocates for individuals and organizations that purchase ISACA products and services. As an advocate, they will help guide and advise product and technical teams to innovative ISACA products so they fulfill users’ needs and are beneficial for ISACA.
The Senior UX Designer will have the unique opportunity to stay connected with the user pulse while at the same time creating great product designs. They will influence product strategy, create user touch points, and lead visual design and prototyping.
Responsibilities
User Research and Advocacy
- Understand pain points and opportunities and create designs to address
- Understand and advocate for users
- Conduct ongoing user touch points to guide sprint designs
User-Centered Design
- Ensure user focus throughout the product design process
- Ensure design solutions are user-centric and business goals are met
Design Strategy and Systems
- Help define design strategy, UI architecture, style guides, and UI patterns to drive efficiency and consistency into the user experience
Prototyping and Visualization
- Create visuals, concepts, wireframes, UI mockups, and clickable prototypes
- Work with product managers to visualize and evangelize new product ideas
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Undertake special projects as needed
Qualifications
Required Field of Study:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design from an accredited university
- Formal training in Human Centered Design or Human Computer Interaction
Preferred Level of Education and/or field of study:
- Masters Degree in Design from an accredited university
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer
Minimum Relevant Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of Agile
- Experience conducting user research, user interviews, usability tests, analyzing and presenting results, personas, customer journeys, design thinking, ideation
- Expert ability to understand & create user-flows, annotated wireframes and content structure. Ability to work closely with agile squads to drive effective and efficient implementation of designs
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, visual designer, interaction designer or a similar role
Competencies/Skills Required:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal
- Good understanding of color science and combinations
- Artistic and innovative flair
- Excellent attention to detail
- Meticulous and diligent
- Experience with design programs (like Illustrator and Sketch)
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends
