Who we need
We are looking for a creative and hard-working Senior Product Designer to join our Machine Learning (ML) team. As a Product Designer, you will work closely with product management, ML engineers, and ML Researchers to design and deliver next-generation tools and services to transform the VFX industry.
What you’ll do:
Leverage UX thinking and execution to deliver well-crafted product designs that provide clarity, continuity, and context for the VFX artists who use our ML products
Conduct user research interviews across the organization and industry – analyze collected data, and leverage your findings to inform design decisions
Communicate design solutions to engineers and stakeholders, and work to solve issues that arise in the build process
Create user flows and wireframes, build user interface mock-ups and prototypes, and work closely with Researchers, Engineers, Content Strategists, and Product Managers throughout design processes
Who you are:
FAST/EFFICIENT: You work blazingly fast to produce wireframes and examples of how something might look. You aren’t married to your ideas but have an understanding that a picture is worth a thousand words. Your wireframes will drive clarity between the various departments.
CONFIDENT: VFX and Machine Learning are two very different worlds – your job will be marrying the two together and challenging industry norms.
SIMPLIFIER: Machine Learning is complex. You need to be able to handle that complexity and turn it into a simple, but powerful, user experience.
Nice to have (all of these are preferred but not required):
Bachelor’s degree in Design or UX-related field (HCI, Human Factors, Behavioral Research, or Graphic Design), or equivalent practical experience
Experience in the VFX industry
Experience designing complex tooling
Experience designing for machine learning applications
