About the role
As a senior visual designer, you’ll craft beautiful webpages, along with top-notch marketing assets (advertisements, ebook covers, conference booth designs, decks, etc). These designs will target engineers and scientists working on the cutting edge of machine learning. We are looking for someone opinionated who can help evolve our visual design to grow the Labelbox brand. Labelbox’s design team is small and highly autonomous; you’ll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the culture, design strategy, and the future of the company.
This is a remote position that is open to candidates based in the United States.
What you’ll do:
    • Shape the Labelbox brand with striking web designs and illustrations that utilize consistent brand elements
    • Take ownership of design challenges – some may be loosely defined and some may have strict requirements
    • Coordinate with marketing specialists and the go-to-market team to design iteratively for Labelbox’s short-term and long-term strategies
    • Work in tandem with Labelbox’s 5 other designers to receive and offer constructive design feedback
    • Iterate on designs in Figma that show a high level of craftsmanship
What you’ll need to succeed:
    • 4+ years of public-facing web and graphic design experience
    • Proficiency in Figma (or the ability to learn it quickly!)
    • The ability to simplify complex challenges with effective design
    • A portfolio demonstrating your full design process and previous works
    • Experience working effectively with other brand designers
    • Worked closely with developers to iterate on a website to see designs through to release
Bonus Points:
    • Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
    • Previous design work for data-heavy tools
    • Experience managing and contributing to a design system
    • You have coding chops and can help contribute to our front-end library
    • Experience planning and performing user research or A/B testing
    • 3-D design chops (Blender, Cinema 4D, etc)
    • Video editing experience (this is pretty rare work, but is a plus nonetheless)
We hire great people regardless of where they live. Work wherever you’d like as reliable internet access is our only requirement. We communicate asynchronously, work autonomously, and take ownership of our work.
