Service Designer – Data & Analytics
The Service Designer supports a centralized Data Centre of Excellence by applying human-centered and service design practices to the planning, design, and delivery of data and analytics products.
Reporting to the Analytics Capability leadership, this role works collaboratively with analysts, product teams, and stakeholders across the organization to improve data access, usability, governance, and data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, journey mapping, service blueprinting, process mapping, prototyping, and evaluation of data services
• Design end-to-end service journeys for data pipelines, user interfaces, data catalogues, and data architectures
• Facilitate user and behavioral research, co-design workshops, concept testing, and usability testing
• Ensure services are designed with a strong focus on business outcomes, efficiency, and user experience
• Contribute to service roadmaps, service metrics, performance measurement, and change enablement
• Apply systems thinking to current and future state models to improve internal and external access to data assets
About You
• Strong understanding of service design methodologies and human-centered design
• Experience working on data platforms, analytics tools, or data governance frameworks
• Skilled in mapping complex processes and systems for technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable running research, workshops, and usability testing sessions with cross-functional teams
• Able to translate insights into actionable recommendations and service improvements
