Staff Content Designer

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Staff Content Designer who will lead in shaping and applying our content strategy, execute on written communication within our product, and define how content design grows and influences the experiences we deliver to our members within Omada.

Our tight-knit team of designers is focused on helping our users better understand how diet, activity, sleep, and stress impact their health. We combine learnings from behavioral psychology, data science, and user insights to create experiences that are easy to understand and implement.

As a Staff Content Designer, you’ll work closely with product, clinical and design partners to translate behavior science and clinical best practices into intuitive product experiences. You’ll explore, craft, test, and iterate on simple and compelling solutions that help people make lasting behavior change. You’ll design and implement our content experience, shape language and communication, and apply tone and voice to create simple and engaging solutions for our members.

 

As a Staff Content Designer, you will:

  • Apply human-centered design methodologies to find opportunity with research and data, design, and test content solutions in partnership with product teams
  • Develop concepts, content strategy, and ux copy from early ideation through final execution
  • Write in-app copy like onboarding screens, end-to-end flows, error messages, buttons, and tooltips
  • Partner closely with our Clinical Content Product Manager to ensure that we structure and deliver our content in a way that works for all of our integrated condition experiences and meets our clinical standards
  • Develop content frameworks and coach teammates to upskill the UX team’s overall writing skillset
  • Partner with our Brand team to apply and evolve guidelines and standards

 

About you:
  • An excellent writer and communicator. You’re a practitioner of human-centered design methodologies with experience in digital product development.
  • You have 8+ years of experience in product/UX writing, content design, and/or content strategy that demonstrates positive impact to the end user and business
  • Ability to collaborate with partners in clinical, marketing, product management, and design through the whole product lifecycle
  • Proficiency collaborating with design teams in Figma, Miro, or equivalent design tools; experience and technical understanding of working with / managing a CMS
  • Experience creating and applying style guides and related artifacts to help others write successfully
  • Ability to work within the context of both big picture thinking Omada’s business and user needs, and also the specific interactions of an experience and how it impacts what people do and feel
  • High attention to detail; comfortable independently multitasking and prioritizing projects
  • Comfortable partnering with and managing contractors
