The Opportunity
Benevity is hiring a Staff Product Designer to transform its donation experience into a world-class, high-performance product.
This is a strategic, staff-level role focused on applying:
• eCommerce-grade optimization
• Behavioural science
• B2C product thinking
You will elevate donation flows to feel as seamless, intuitive, and emotionally powerful as the best consumer checkout experiences in the world — helping democratize philanthropy at scale.
What You’ll Do
Donation Experience Optimization
• Lead the evolution of the donation journey to reduce friction and increase global giving impact
• Apply behavioural science principles and motivational design
• Design for the “emotional high” of giving while optimizing transactional clarity
Data-Driven Impact
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to define problems and measure outcomes
• Analyze conversion funnels and drop-off points
• Define and track usability and impact metrics tied to business results
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Facilitate workshops aligning Product, Engineering, Data, and Research
• Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear, scalable solutions
• Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-backed storytelling
Design System Stewardship
• Evolve the Skyline design system
• Identify systemic gaps and drive scalable standards
• Ensure accessibility, consistency, and visual excellence
AI-Driven Craft
• Move beyond static mocks using AI-assisted discovery and prototyping
• Create high-fidelity, “living” prototypes
• Maintain high standards of craft and usability throughout AI-integrated workflows
What You’ll Bring
• 10+ years designing and scaling high-traffic consumer-facing products (ecommerce, fintech, fundraising)
• Deep understanding of transaction design and checkout optimization
• Strong command of conversion funnel analysis and performance design
• Knowledge of user psychology and behavioural nudges
• Exceptional visual craft (typography, layout, balance, trust signals)
• Staff-level influence across teams and leadership
• Mastery of Figma and AI-native prototyping tools
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility standards
• Ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
