Job Description

Match Group’s Core Product Design Team is on a mission to shape the future of dating across some of the most iconic and innovative brands in the industry-including Match, Meetic, BLK, OkCupid, Upward, Yuzu, and more. We’re a centralized design team that works across multiple platforms and markets, delivering experiences that are both scalable and deeply personalized.

This team is uniquely positioned to influence the design language, systems, and product strategy for a wide range of Match Group brands, each with its own voice, audience, and purpose. We focus on creating elegant, inclusive, and emotionally resonant dating experiences that help people find meaningful connections-no matter who they are or where they come from.

We’re seeking a highly experienced Staff Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of systems thinking, UI craftsmanship, and user empathy. You’ll collaborate across product and engineering teams, and ensure every interaction is intuitive, delightful, and rooted in user needs

As a member of this collaborative and forward-thinking team, you’ll help design experiences that span cultures, platforms, and user needs-all while contributing to a design system used by millions of people around the world. If you're passionate about product design that balances craft, empathy, and scale, you’ll feel right at home here.

When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL). We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL in our Vancouver office 3 days/week.

What You'll Do:

* Lead the end-to-end product design process from concept to launch, with a strong focus on mobile UI/UX.
* Advocate for the user at every step of the product development process.
* Translate data and insights into user-centric design decisions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, analytics, and researchers to design intuitive and beautiful user experiences that solve complex problems.
* Break down complex problems into simple, elegant solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
* Utilize user research and insights to inform your design decisions.
* Understand how data and key metrics guide your design decisions for the best possible outcomes for the user and business
* Create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that meet a high standard of quality and craft.
* Develop interactive prototypes to demonstrate and validate design concepts.
* Work closely with engineering teams to ensure your designs are implemented effectively.
* Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and align design goals with business objectives.
* Contribute to our design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and ease of use across all platforms.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and help shape design culture and processes.

We Could Be a Match if You Have:

* 6+ years of experience in Product Design, with a portfolio showcasing UI/UX excellence and end-to-end product thinking.
* Fluency in Figma (or similar tools) and familiarity with design tokens, component libraries, and atomic design principles.
* Experience designing for both iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
* Ability to balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints, and move quickly in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
* Deep understanding of interaction design, visual design, and user-centered principles.
* Clear communication skills and the ability to present ideas thoughtfully to a variety of stakeholders.
* 8 Experience in motion design or interaction design, including creating animations, transitions, and micro-interactions to enhance user experience and engagement.
* Experience in design systems—building, maintaining, and evolving them at scale.

$ 135000- $150000 a year
