Job Description

Join AI ECD as a UI/UX Designer, where you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our early childhood development (ECD) applications. Your innovative designs will directly influence the ease of use and aesthetic appeal of our products and services, making a meaningful impact on families and children.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing all stages of visual design from concept to final hand-off to engineering. You will create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, user experience researchers, and product managers—you will ensure a seamless and engaging user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing mobile app design projects, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep passion for early childhood development and e-learning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
• Manage all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conceptualize original ideas that enhance simplicity and user friendliness in complex designs.
• Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to refine and enhance the user experience.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards across all platforms.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the technical feasibility and accurate implementation of UI/UX designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Proven UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile app design projects developed within a professional setting.
• Demonstrated experience working in a company environment, with a track record of delivering impactful design solutions in real-world applications.
• Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user.
• Experience collaborating closely with developers and an understanding of front-end development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or similar fields is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in a startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic setting.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
