UI/UX Designer II
Currently hold (or have ability to obtain) a minimum security clearance level of: Secret
This position will favor someone with a strong UX or UI design skillset. You will be using a design system to create flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups. You will be responsible for the design from start to finish.
Education: BA in Psychology or Design
Experience: Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience: UX designer, interactive designer, front-end designer, or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools
- Proficiency with wireframing and visual design
- Ability to create diagrams, user flows, and annotate
- Ability to work within Agile processes
- Willingness to learn complex Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, Modeling & Simulation, and other Army domain-specific workflows and consolidate that knowledge into easy-to-use designs.
- Ability to describe how/why design decisions were made.
- Ability to use and participate shaping a design system.
- Ability to communicate and work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
- Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Deductive reasoning, listening, flexibility, and critical thinking skills and the ability to predict problems before they occur.
- Ability to easily adapt and learn new things, whether it’s a new prototyping tool, design process, or business process.
- On-site (Orlando) 1-2 weeks per year
- Travel roughly 5-10%
- UX certifications (does not replace base 5yrs experience)
- Agile certifications
Preference to:
- Intelligence or Electronic Warfare domain experience
- Design Systems experience.
- User Testing experience, ability to create usability test scenarios, evaluate workflows, assess user feedback.
