BLOX Digital is hiring a UI/UX Designer who will work with both customers and internal teams to develop rich, responsive websites and suggest improvements to components used in the design of both websites and apps. This position will work with several teams, with primary focus on customer-facing design. Internally they will work with our product team on new features and products to provide a rich user experience. Externally they will work closely with our project management team to roll out new sites for our partners.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and design team through discussions with end users and product owners.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, and components, using our base frameworks of pure css (flexbox) and Bootstrap (older templates) and Tailwind (newer templates).
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
• Prepare and present mockups of designs to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Help to level up existing staff with new CSS frameworks and design practices
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Work with project managers and clients to implement site designs
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

Requirements:

• We are looking for talent over years of experience!
• Extensive experience working with the Tailwind CSS framework
• Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies; continual professional development with new software developments
• Understanding of modern UI/UX principles
• Experience with web development a plus
• Strong skills with CSS, including familiarity with Bootstrap, and css concepts like flexbox.
• Ability to effectively communicate to customers and internal team members
• Teamwork, ability to communicate well and solve problems creatively and effectively

Pay: $65,000 – $75,000
