We’re looking for a motivated UX Designer II to Motivated help us create delightful customer experiences within our Packages team. No matter what kind of trip our travellers are planning, we are the stress-free partner that helps them make the most of their trip. We support travellers who are planning a complex trip with multiple elements, from inspiration, shopping, booking, through to managing their trip. We create intuitive and personalized experiences that help travelers get the best deals, save time, and make memories they want to share and repeat. This team works on a global scale, across devices and platforms, in a diverse and collaborative environment.
What you will do:
- Frame problems and opportunities clearly through analysis of qualitative and quantitative inputs, and customer and stakeholder perspectives.
- Challenge the starting definition of a problem, ask why, clarify assumptions.
- Build the habit of generating diverse, novel, workable concepts, and use different methods to identify ideas with the most potential.
- Gain experience in facilitating idea generation with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with guidance.
- Use design system effectively and appropriately with some guidance and understand differences and similarities between design systems/platforms.
- Create routine, informative communication materials explaining design thinking & decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content designers to solve for customer problems leveraging an Agile way of working.
- Collect, process and act on design feedback constructively.
- Design explorations and solutions which are focused on customer needs, wants, and problems.
- Value and apply existing customer insights from research to guide design decisions as well as initiating and supporting research efforts with research partners.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience; Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience or related Design field or relevant experience is applicable.
- Strong skills in Interaction/visual design and Prototyping. Capable in Facilitation, Information architecture and Technical/Platform knowledge. Design systems experience is ideal
- Experience with Native app design is preferable
- Experience with Agile way of working is preferable
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $112,000.00 to $156,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $179,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
