User Experience Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Conceptualize, structure, and detail user experiences within the context of a broader user journey. Collaborate with product managers and engineers, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution. Design products across mobile and web that target specific customer values as well as business goals. Create screen mock-ups, user flows and prototypes to communicate and learn about designs. Create design documentation for the development of customer and employee facing products. Participate in design critiques and peer reviews. Collaborate with product managers, executive and legal, risk, and compliance stakeholders to realize the designs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Design and Technology, Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface, User Experience Design, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Designer, Product Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Technology, Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface, User Experience Design, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Designer, Product Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Designing native mobile and web experiences; Interaction Design; Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; User Research; UX Writing; Prototyping; Collaborating with design teams, including other designers, UX researchers, and content designers, and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers; and presenting work to cross-functional Directors.

Job Location: 450 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Salary:  $124,800.00-$165,000.00 per year.
