LandSure Systems Ltd. (LandSure) is looking to hire a User Experience & Interface (UX/UI) Designer II to join our Products division!

LandSure is a subsidiary of the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA), a publicly accountable, statutory corporation that manages BC's land title and survey systems. Our team of nearly 100 employees supports the LTSA through information system consulting services, project management, customer support, and communications.

What you'll do:
Reporting to the Manager, User Experience, the User Experience & Interface (UX/UI) Designer II is a core contributor to product teams, responsible for delivering thoughtful, user-centered experiences across LTSA’s digital products. This role provides complex technical support by designing intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces based on user insights, product goals, and design system standards
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
User-Centered Discovery & Research
* Conduct interviews, usability tests, and surveys.
* Synthesize research into personas and journey maps.
* Participate in discovery sprints and design workshops.
UX & Interaction Design:
* Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
* Apply usability heuristics and accessibility standards.
UI Design & Visual Execution:
* Create high-fidelity UI in Figma using components and token
* Ensure consistent design across digital products.
Design System Usage & Contribution
* Use and enhance the Angular Material-based design system.
* Identify and propose new components through contribution process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partner with product managers. Product owners, and developers to ensure design quality.
* Support QA and implementation with specifications and testing.
Iteration & Continuous Improvement:
* Monitor user behavior through analytics.
* Iterate based on data and usability feedback.
Communication & Documentation:
* Present designs and document intent in Figma and Confluence.
We encourage you to apply if you have:
Education and Experience:
* 3 years Post Secondary art education or Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3 to 5 years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end project work.
* Proven experience collaborating within Agile teams and delivering designs across product features.
* Experience using and contributing to a design system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Advanced proficiency in Figma, including basic use of components, auto-layout, and shared libraries.
* Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1).
* Familiarity with HTML/CSS and frontend development workflows (coding not required).
* Ability to conduct usability testing and synthesize findings into actionable improvements.
* Experience with tools like Storybook, Jira, Confluence, Miro, analytics dashboards, and Figma’s Dev Mode.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities independently.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to system consistency and reusable design solutions.
* We are dedicated to transparency in our hiring process. $71,400 - $89,300 annually, reflects a reasonable expectation for pay for the position depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation is specific to the role within our organization and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to job-related skills, experience and relevant training or education, business and organizational needs.
