Meta’s UX Research team designs for businesses of all shapes and sizes, which requires a deep understanding of the customers who use our platform. Our researchers tackle complex challenges to uncover valuable insights into how advertisers interact with Meta’s tools and platforms, helping shape products that impact millions of businesses globally.

Using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods—including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability testing, and 1:1 interviews—you will generate insights that guide product development and strategy. Researchers at Meta collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure user needs remain central to the product experience.

This job description represents multiple full-time UX Research roles across Meta.

Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with product and business teams to identify meaningful research topics
• Act as a thought leader in research while advocating for the needs and perspectives of product users
• Design and execute end-to-end primary research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
• Design studies that explore both user behaviors and attitudes
• Manage and prioritize research plans within fast-moving and ambiguous environments
• Align stakeholders and effectively execute research insights across large cross-functional teams
• Communicate findings and recommendations through compelling presentations and storytelling
• Collaborate with design, product management, engineering, content strategy, and marketing teams
• Generate insights that inform product ideation and evaluate design solutions

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in UX research, applied research, or product research and development
OR Master’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience
OR PhD with relevant experience
• Experience conducting in-depth interviews, focus groups, concept testing, or usability testing
• Experience conducting hands-on primary research
• Ability to translate research findings into clear strategic narratives and actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the advertising industry or digital marketing product development
• Degree in a human behavior–related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $141,000 – $192,000 USD per year

Additional compensation may include:
• Performance bonus
• Equity awards
• Comprehensive benefits package

Final compensation depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
