The Opportunity:

You know that a good UX Design is more than just the code, infrastructure, and a nice-looking interface. It’s the way it addresses a user’s needs. As a User Experience (UX) you can put yourself in the user’s place and design the best way for them to engage different media platforms and applications. We’re looking for someone creative like you to craft the ultimate UX while driving requirements for complex systems and applications. From a UX perspective, you’ll be responsible for understanding your clients’ vision and their users’ needs. Working closely with the development team, you’ll build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the product manager on your team to understand your clients’ vision and their users’ needs. Working on an agile team, you’ll build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing. You’ll be involved with the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including creating using personas, developing wireframes, and designing websites. Your experience with UX design tools will help you advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have:

  • Experience eliciting business, functional, and customer requirements to design backend microservices and process workflows, working with business lines and stakeholders to recognize their needs and translate the needs to development teams
  • Experience interpreting and prioritizing customer feedback from multiple sources and developing Agile documentation, including user stories, system requirements, and use cases
  • Experience interpreting and prioritizing customer feedback from multiple qualitative and quantitative sources
  • Experience producing low to high-fidelity, interactive mockups and with UX research methods and deliverables
  • Experience with design systems, such as the United States Web Design System (USWDS) and component-based design specifically designing for modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
  • Ability to conduct user testing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with UX analysis and design or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience with UX analysis and design

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with patent or intellectual property (IP) processes, policies, or systems
  • Experience with Axure
  • Experience supporting large-scale public-facing web design efforts
  • Knowledge of Angular or front-end development
  • Knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, product management, service design, and UX copywriting
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of excellent verbal, facilitation, and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
