UX Designer

Responsibilities

UX Designer, reports to the Chief Technology Officer. Primary duties include working directly with the engineering team to assist in building out new features and improve existing functionality for our member platform as well as internal company tools.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and producing high-quality flow diagrams, UI designs, storyboards, and site maps
  • Collaborating with engineering team members to discuss approaches to solving business needs through technology
  • Researching trends and techniques in modern web applications
  • Understanding product specifications and user psychology and predicting what might work for both
  • Maintaining a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends
  • Writing documentation explaining functionality and expected interface outcomes
  • Researching analytics to understand areas of improvement

Requirements

Qualifications

This position requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Interactive Design, User Interface Design, Graphic Design or closely related field, plus 1 year of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation, or a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Interactive Design, User Interface Design, Graphic Design or closely related field, plus 3 years of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.

 

Special Requirements:

Expertise/knowledge of:

1. User Research and Analysis: Proficiency in conducting user research, analyzing user behavior, and synthesizing insights to inform design decisions.

2. Interaction Design: Expertise in designing interactive interfaces, including defining workflows, wireframes, and prototypes to enhance user engagement.

3. Information Architecture: Ability to organize and structure digital content logically to optimize usability and navigation.

4. Visual Design Principles: In-depth knowledge of design principles such as layout, color theory, typography, and composition to create aesthetically pleasing interfaces.

5. Prototyping and Wireframing: Advanced skills in creating low- to high-fidelity prototypes to test and iterate design concepts effectively.

6. Usability Testing: Capability to plan, execute, and analyze usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of a design solution.

7. Responsive and Accessible Design: Expertise in designing interfaces that are mobile-friendly and adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance).

8. Design Systems and Style Guides: Experience in creating and maintaining design systems to ensure consistency and scalability in user interfaces.

9. Experience with HTML/CSS.

10. Experience with the following tools: Figma, Adobe Creative suite.

WORK SCHEDULE:  40 hrs/wk (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

SALARY RANGE: $86,278-$90,000 ANNUALLY
