Rate: $60.00 per hour
Target Start Date: February 23rd
Duration: 9+ months (37.5 hours per week)
Status: Onsite 4x per week (Downtown Toronto)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and will be responsible for creating engaging and intuitive user experiences across our digital products. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a strong focus on user research to inform design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to gather insights and understand user needs.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
• Perform usability testing to validate design solutions and iterate based on feedback.
• Create and maintain design specifications and guidelines.
• Utilize design tools such as Sketch and Figma to produce high-quality visual designs.
• Implement interaction design principles to enhance user engagement.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in UX design and apply them to projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UX design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in design tools including Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for effective collaboration with development teams.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A portfolio showcasing previous UX design projects and processes.
