Meta’s UX Research team designs for the broad spectrum of human needs by deeply understanding the behaviors and motivations of the people behind them. Our researchers tackle complex challenges to gain insights into how people interact with technology, each other, and the world around them.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with product teams to uncover meaningful insights that inform products used by billions of people globally. Using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods—such as surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability testing, and in-depth interviews—you will help shape experiences across Meta’s product ecosystem.
This job description represents multiple full-time UX Research roles across Meta.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics and opportunities
• Serve as a thought leader in research while advocating for the needs and perspectives of users
• Design and conduct end-to-end primary research using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods
• Develop studies that explore both user behaviors and attitudes
• Manage research projects independently in fast-changing and ambiguous environments
• Prioritize and execute research plans while aligning stakeholders across teams
• Communicate research findings and recommendations in compelling and impactful ways
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing teams
• Generate insights that inform product ideation and evaluate design solutions
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in UX research, applied research, or product research and development
OR Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
OR PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience conducting in-depth interviews, focus groups, concept testing, or usability testing
• Experience conducting hands-on primary research
• Ability to translate research findings into clear strategic narratives and product insights
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in a human behavior-related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics
• Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development environments

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $164,000 – $227,000 USD per year
Additional compensation may include:
