Beema Insurance is a new-age InsurTech provider that aims at Making Insurance Lovable, with its roots in sunny Dubai. We provide insurance that is Simpler, Easier, and Fairer through a data and technology-intensive approach.

We are looking for a creative UX/UI Designer, who’s obsessed about building intuitive, paradigm-shifting, unapologetically simple user interfaces. You will have the vision and drive necessary to develop innovative and lovable digital products. You’ll have a great eye for modern, beautiful design and understand how this interacts with and supports successful campaign and brand messaging. You will enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty with the build, whilst always maintaining a broad view on the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
• Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Support Design Lead with accurate scoping and quoting of work
• Facilitate our digital product vision by designing wireframe, sketch, prototype, and mock-ups
• Influence design-led thinking across the business
• Ensure design projects within your remit are delivered on time/budget
• Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
• Provide quality control over design outputs and production
• Work with other team members to deliver projects and deliver against deadlines
• Understand product specifications and user psychology
• Conduct user research and usability testing and evaluate feedback
• Find creative ways to solve user interface design issues
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers

Requirements

• Adept design experience for multiple digital devices (web, mobile & wearables)
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in understanding detailed requirements and aligning the needs with the product vision
• Good knowledge in user experience standards
• Strong User Interface Design skills
• Strong experience in working with Figma in a clean and simple way, using components and variants to streamline the work flow
• Experience in working and managing Design Systems and components libraries
• Good knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience in participating in remote workshops with online tools (Miro, Figjam), to help the Design Lead to easily collect requirements from the Stakeholders
• Ability to work Agile
• Open to constructive feedback
• Strong portfolio of digital design products/projects
• Experience designing with international languages and complex product requirements is desirable
• Background in project management and research is desirable
• Ability to design simple illustrations and icons is desirable
• Adept problem solver with critical thinking skills and strong business acumen
• Excellent communication skills
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 4 years of working experience
• Fluency in English (written, read, spoken)
