Our client in the oil and gas industry is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join their team!

​​​​​​​This is a great opportunity to work with an integrated team of designers, product owners, business analysts, and developers to create and upgrade exciting digital products. This work may include defining/refining requirements, creating personas, drafting user flows and helping identify information architecture that will provide the best user experience. This role will work closely with the digital team to design wireframes, screen mockups, and interactive prototypes, and assist with user testing/feature validation.

This will be a fully remote, ongoing contract with 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of sample applications, websites and software to assess user experience and ease of design
• Work with product owners, content strategists, and design leadership to understand the high-level goals and vision for product upgrades and new features.
• Conduct testing of sample applications, websites and software to assess user experience and ease of design. Analyze website date to examine high-traffic pages and determine why some pages perform better.
• Create user personas that help to inspire best-in-class user experiences.
• Create diagrams such as site maps, user flows, and journey maps to communicate your ideas.
• Create low-fidelity wireframes to ideate early design solutions.
• Assist in user testing and validation of feature ideas. Iterate designs based on the resulting user feedback.
• Work with the design team and developers to iterate wireframes and prototypes based on feasibility discussions.

Qualifications:

• Experience level: Experienced
• Education: Bachelors
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design.
• Proficient with visual design programs such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop and others.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces for clients.
• Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languages.
• Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies.
• Digital portfolio for review.
• Experience working with technical teams is a must and prior experience in development is a plus.
• Experience presenting to clients is required. Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable facilitating discussion and driving teams toward decisions.
• Must be a strategic thinker who is comfortable advocating for UX decisions that center the user while balancing technical feasibility and business requirements.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present design concepts visually and verbally.
• Mastery of design principles and UX/UI design programs such Figma. Additional experience with Sketch and InVision is a bonus.
• Ability to take initiative and reach out to team leads to clear up ambiguities or problems quickly.
• Expertise in mobile-first and/or responsive design.
• Excellent visual design skills including command of color typography and visual hierarchy.
• Effective time management and time estimation skills.
• Experience working in an agile delivery model is a plus.
