Innovation Teams are responsible for carrying out developments serving both internal users and Fugro clients. With Innovation centers in Canada, Brazil, USA, and other key locations around the world; you will be joining a global innovation group with a tradition of developing best-of-class applications in the Geo-data space.

The UX / UI Designer will work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, business stakeholders, and end-users to design and deliver client-facing applications and internal data pipeline tools while fostering an environment of creativity and innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

• Facilitate engaging workshops and design activities.

• Conduct user research and usability testing, incorporating user feedback to continuously iterate and enhance our products.

• Sketch, design, and collaborate with your team and key stakeholders to explore innovative ideas and concepts.

• Design intuitive and modern user interfaces for web and desktop applications ensuring our users can seamlessly complete complex tasks.

• Promote Design Thinking fundamentals within Fugro by evangelizing the trifecta of Desirability, Feasibility, and Viability.

• Leverage Fugro’s in-house Design System to streamline our design and development processes.

• Occasional travel will be essential for close collaboration with product teams in the USA, Canada, and other parts of the world.

Job Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

• Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.

• Possess current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.

• Have 3+ years of commercial experience in UX/UI design/product design.

• Previous experience in implementing user-centered design methodologies and best practices.

• Experience collaborating with Agile teams is preferred.

• Experience designing either web apps or engineering applications is preferred.
