We are seeking a dynamic UX/UI Designer who is passionate about creating user-centered design solutions that exceed user expectations. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in design and user experience to advocate for our users during the system design and development process. Working within an Agile framework, you will collaborate closely with project and product managers, UX researchers, front-end and back-end developers to deliver design solutions that not only meet user needs and business goals but also enhance the digital interaction for youth athletes and stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Agile Design Collaboration: Serve as a key member of an Agile team, collaborating with researchers, developers, and other stakeholders to plan and refine user-centric design solutions that align with business goals and technical realities.
- Innovative Design Delivery: Produce creative and effective design mock-ups using tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD, complete with development specifications.
- User-Centered Design and Development: Engage in the initial phases of product development, conducting user research and usability testing to gather essential insights that inform the design of new products or features.
- Design Translation and Prototyping: Translate complex research insights into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, illustrating design solutions that offer an exceptional user experience.
- Design System Contribution: Assist in creating and defining the RCX Sports design system and language, ensuring consistency and coherence across all user interfaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field, underscoring a solid understanding of UX/UI design principles.
- Design Experience and Proficiency: At least 3 years of proven experience in user experience design, with a portfolio that highlights expertise in user-centered design, user testing, rapid prototyping, and familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Agile Environment Adaptability: Exhibit proficiency in working within Agile methodologies, demonstrating the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric design solutions.
- Passion for User Experience: Display a genuine passion for enhancing user experiences and a commitment to contributing to the improvement of youth sports through innovative design solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across all levels of the organization.
- Travel: Less than 20%
- Work Schedule: Full-Time 40-hours/week (Monday-Friday with weekends required on occasion)
- Compensation Structure: Salaried paid Semi-Monthly (OT-Exempt). This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on RCX Sports and employee performance
