UX/UI Designer
Job Description
Currently, RG is looking to hire a UX/UI Designer to support our product development team in delivering a compelling customer experience through beautiful and usable web interfaces and workflows for our planning and scheduling software and applications. Working with our Business Analysts and Agile development teams, the UX/UI designer will take ownership of the user’s journey and customer experience, from creating and validating design concepts through to detailed interface design. We are seeking people excited to prepare radical and transformative experiences which constructively challenge the established preconceptions of Government and commercial clients, and who can lead and grow that capability within the company.
A Day In the Life:
The chosen candidate can expect to be responsible for transforming business requirements into user experiences that optimize the product experience for the user community. Working with business analysts and Agile development teams, the UX/UI Designer will contribute to the ongoing transformation of requirements by conducting user research, leading design workshops and concept demonstrations, and designing the individual user interfaces.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, ensure experience standards are followed, and user goals
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behavior and preferences
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts and interactions
- Develop high-fidelity UI designs that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and collaborate with developers to implement designs accurately
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the organization
- Leading the user experience and interface design process across various product and program forums
- Maintaining and updating user experience strategy, approach, and best practices to ensure a consistent user experience across the systemStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging
- UI/UX design technologies and make sure to assist with maintaining and updating visual and behavior standards for web pages and user interface controls for web applications

The ideal candidate will be able to ensure that the systems and solutions we deliver fully leverage user-centric design, Agile development, open standards, and rigorous user experience testing.
Required Skills
A Consultant is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG’s solutions. They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in User Experience to include:
- Experience in defining, communicating, and reinforcing a consistent design strategy and style guide for web applications
- Experience in finding ways to maximize the efficiency of workflow between development and design in an Agile process
- Familiarity with working in an established design system and creating library components
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, usability testing methodologies, and design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across management, staff, and multiple Agile delivery teams
- Ability to work across organizational lines and to mentor clients to achieve strategic goals
- Knowledge of Agile software design and development process
- Demonstrated experience in leading design work on major applications
- Skilled in developing wireframes, mock-ups, style sheets, and UI templates
- Ability to provide a portfolio of work showcasing design skills and past projects
- Ability to travel nationwide for client and internal meetings, anticipated at up to 10%

- BS Degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development principles
- Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision, Principle, or Framer
- Experience with Generative UI, specifically Outcome Oriented Design (OOD)
- Design
- Experience in sophisticated interactive graphical modeling applications, such as: 2D and 3D network modeling, charting or diagramming; augmented reality; or real-time analytical systemsUser
- Experience certification
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance for future engagements (US Citizenship required)
- Current/previous Secret clearance or above
