We’re on the lookout for a UX-focused Graphic Designer to help shape digital experiences that surprise and delight.

In this role, you’ll design end-to-end user journeys across our eCommerce platforms that are both visually compelling and strategically grounded — where every interaction is backed by user insight, usability principles, and a clear understanding of player behaviour. You’ll serve as the design lead for the Lottery Player experience, creating solutions that not only look great, but feel intuitive, inclusive, and built for real-world use.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Design wireframes, mockups, and graphics for web and digital campaigns.
• Create player-first experiences across our website, promotions, and products.
• Assist in the preparation and facilitation of workshops, survey and stakeholder interviews, helping to synthesize outcomes into actionable insights.
• Champion accessibility and inclusivity across all touchpoints and user flows.
• Help develop and maintain our design system to ensure visual and functional consistency
• Advocate for UX best practices across the organization. Solve UX challenges related to usability and ensuring the design addresses pain points.
• Stay informed about evolving UX/UI best practices and industry trends, continuously applying new technologies into your work.
• Work with developers and marketers to ensure consistent visual execution.
• Integrate player insights into your design decisions.

Qualifications and Competencies

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, particularly in web and landing page development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design skills.
• Experience in e-commerce, gaming, or online lottery industries is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong ability to transform complex concepts into intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces.
• Expertise in usability testing, wireframing, and design thinking processes.
• A solid understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and usability principles
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills — you can clearly explain design decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to non-design stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
• Meticulous in design execution, ensuring pixel-perfect delivery and alignment with requirements.
• A player-first mindset — curiosity about how users think, feel, and behave

WCLC is the non-profit organization authorized to manage, conduct, and operate lotteries – at retail and online – and other gaming-related activities for the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba as well as the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
