About Makro Agency

Makro Agency is an eCommerce growth partner helping brands scale through high-performing Shopify experiences and digital strategies. We specialize in crafting visually stunning and conversion-driven online stores. Our team of designers, developers, and strategists thrives on creativity and collaboration, delivering impactful digital experiences for leading brands.

Makro Agency is looking for a Website Designer to create engaging eCommerce designs that enhance user experience and drive conversions. You’ll work on a variety of projects, from full website revamps to landing pages, A/B test variations, and UI enhancements—all within Figma. While this role is highly creative, it also requires a strong understanding of UX best practices for eCommerce. If you love designing intuitive, high-converting websites and want to be part of a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
• Design visually compelling and high-converting eCommerce experiences, including full websites, landing pages, and new features.
• Work within Figma to create responsive designs, ensuring consistency and usability across devices.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Strategist and Project Managers to align designs with business goals and technical requirements.
• Develop clean and organized design systems and UI components to maintain consistency across projects.
• Iterate on designs based on internal feedback and A/B testing insights.
• Stay up-to-date with eCommerce trends, UX best practices, and Shopify design standards to enhance project outcomes.

Credentials & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in web design, preferably in eCommerce.
• Strong portfolio showcasing eCommerce, UI/UX, and conversion-focused design work.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (design systems, prototyping, and component creation).
• Understanding of responsive design, typography, and color theory.
• Basic knowledge of A/B testing and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) is a plus.
• Ability to interpret briefs and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience working with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms is a plus.

Work Environment & Collaboration
• Remote-first role – work from anywhere.
• Flexible working hours, with some overlap in EST mornings for team collaboration.
• Communication via Slack and project management tools like Jira.
• No direct client communication—designers work internally with the Project Strategist, PMs, and other team members.

Perks & Benefits
• Remote work flexibility – work in your timezone with some EST overlap.
• Competitive salary based on experience and location.
• Opportunity to work on exciting eCommerce projects with top brands.
• Collaborative, creative team that values innovation and high-quality design.
• Continuous learning and growth opportunities in UX/UI and eCommerce design.
