How we hire and develop people makes or breaks our effectiveness as leaders. Yet, when it comes to learning the skills of effective hiring, we take for granted the training required to develop leaders in these areas. Jessa is a leader who connects technology and strategy with intentional design. She is currently senior director of experience design at Capital One, where her mission is to change banking for good. Her team drives end to end experiences for designers and developers in auto finance, focusing on using intentional research, a strong design system and visionary design strategy. Her previous role included leading research and design as Head of UX for all of Walmart’s associate digital experience. She has worked within analytics teams, innovation labs, independent firms, nonprofits and marketing agencies, and seeks to augment the human experience wherever possible.
