Measuring the Value of Design With UX Metrics

Learn from the best of design leaders and ICs we’ve hosted at our DesignX events and conferences.

Leanne Waldal

Director of Experience Strategy and Insight

1. Why it is important to measure the value of design (meet your product partners where they are with data that comes from users/customers and put that right next to product data from usage analytics) 2. Introducing UX metric acronyms, what they are and what they measure, NPS, CSAT, SUS, UMUX, UMUX-Lite, NVS, SUPR-Q, words 3. How to choose which metric(s) to use when NPS and/or CSAT are so well known and often heavily used by product, sales, marketing, support. Create your own UX metric that aligns with the goals of the business or product strategy.

Leanne loves technology and has been an early tech adopter ever since her dad built her first computer. For the past several years, Leanne has led research, and sometimes also analytics, on design and product teams at Dropbox, Autodesk, and New Relic. Previous to those companies she ran a consulting firm that focused on research and QA and testing for web and mobile. Directly out of university she started her career as a statistician (what's now known as a data scientist).
